Order this productLinoleum flooring produced in roll form is a continuous sheet material made from oxidized linseed oil, wood flour, cork dust, mineral fillers, and pigments. The manufacturing process involves mixing these raw materials, calendaring the compound into a uniform thickness, and curing it in ovens to achieve cross‑linking of the oil matrix. Rolls typically range from 1.5 m to 2.0 m in width and are supplied in lengths up to 30 m, allowing seamless installation over large floor areas with minimal joints.
| Property | Typical Value | Test Method / Note |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness | 2.0 mm – 3.2 mm | ISO 24346 |
| Wear Layer Thickness | 0.5 mm – 0.8 mm | EN 428 |
| Density | 1.10 g/cm³ – 1.25 g/cm³ | ISO 1183 |
| Dimensional Stability (ΔL/L after 24 h at 70 °C) | ≤ 0.25 % | EN 434 |
| VOC Emission (TVOC after 28 days) | ≤ 0.5 mg/m³ | ISO 16000‑9 |
| Fire Rating | Bfl‑s1 (EN 13501‑1) | Classification |
Because linoleum is inherently antimicrobial due to linseed oil oxidation, it suppresses bacterial growth without chemical additives. This property, combined with low VOC emissions and a service life exceeding 25 years under moderate traffic, makes it suitable for environments where hygiene and indoor air quality are regulated, such as healthcare facilities, laboratories, and educational institutions.

Each roll undergoes inline thickness monitoring via laser gauges with a tolerance of ±0.05 mm. After curing, samples are taken every 50 m for accelerated wear testing using a Taber Abrader (CS‑10 wheels, 500 g load) to verify that the wear layer loss does not exceed 0.02 mm per 1000 cycles. Chemical resistance is checked by immersing specimens in 3 % hydrogen peroxide and 10 % ammonium hydroxide for 24 hours, followed by visual inspection for swelling or discoloration. All test results are logged against the production batch number and are available to customers upon request.
Rolls are wound on rigid cardboard cores with an inner diameter of 76 mm. Protective polyethylene film is applied to the outer surface to guard against moisture and mechanical damage during transit. Each pallet holds up to 12 rolls, stacked with interleaving corrugated sheets to prevent telescoping. For export, shipments are secured with steel straps and loaded into 20‑foot containers; a moisture‑desiccant packet is included to maintain relative humidity below 60 % inside the package.
