Order this productOur facility produces wall coverings that combine a decorative film layer with a pressure‑sensitive adhesive backing. The decorative layer can be printed with custom patterns, textures, or colors while maintaining dimensional stability under varying humidity.
The base film is typically a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyurethane (PU) sheet ranging from 0.15 mm to 0.40 mm thickness. A printed ink layer is protected by a clear overcoat that provides UV resistance and scratch hardness measured at 2H on the pencil scale.
Adhesive layers are acrylic‑based, formulated for peel adhesion between 1.5 N/25 mm and 4.0 N/25 mm on smooth substrates such as primed drywall, metal, or glass. The adhesive remains tacky after 12 months of storage at 23 °C/50 % RH.
We use a solvent‑free acrylic adhesive coated in a uniform thickness of 20 µm to 35 µm. The coating weight is controlled to ±2 g/m², ensuring consistent bond strength across rolls.
Release liners are silicone‑treated polyester, allowing clean removal without adhesive transfer. Liner peel force is maintained below 0.5 N/25 mm to facilitate easy application.
| Property | Typical Value | Test Method |
|---|---|---|
| Peel adhesion (180°) | 2.2 N/25 mm (steel) | ASTM D903 |
| Shear strength (1 in²) | 0.8 MPa | ASTM D1002 |
| Flame rating | UL 94 V‑0 | UL 94 |
| VOC content | < 50 g/L | ASTM D2369 |
| Temperature range (continuous) | ‑20 °C to +80 °C | Internal cycling test |
In healthcare environments, the wall covering provides a cleanable surface that resists staining from disinfectants, while the adhesive allows rapid installation over existing substrates without demolition.
Hospitality projects benefit from the ability to apply custom branding or artwork directly to walls, reducing lead time compared to traditional paint or wallpaper processes.
Retail installations use the product for temporary promotional graphics; the adhesive bonds securely to primed drywall yet releases cleanly after the campaign, preserving the underlying finish.
Each roll undergoes inline thickness measurement using laser gauges, with acceptance limits of ±0.02 mm. Adhesive peel is sampled every 200 m and tested per ASTM D903.
Visual inspection is performed under 500 lux illumination to detect printing defects, color variation, or surface inclusions. Any roll exceeding a ΔE of 2.0 is rerouted for rework.
Accelerated aging chambers expose samples to 60 °C/80 % RH for 500 hours; post‑exposure adhesion must retain at least 85 % of the initial value.
Rolls are wound on 3‑inch core PVC spools, wrapped in low‑density polyethylene film, and placed in corrugated cardboard cartons with edge protectors. Carton dimensions are optimized for palletization at 1.2 m × 1.0 m × 0.8 m.
For export shipments, desiccant packets are included to maintain relative humidity below 50 % inside the carton, preventing adhesive degradation during transit.
Each pallet is stretch‑wrapped and labeled with lot number, roll length, and handling instructions (keep dry, avoid direct sunlight).
